Talking about the "Hondata Intake Manifold"... I got a ?...
Okay I have read about the "Hondata Intake Manifolds" and the "Outlaw Engineering" ones, and how they are supposed to keep the temperature of the incoming air low. By not letting the intake manifold heat up from the head's temperature... fine I get that!!!
Now if somebody decides to put something similar to the FMIC sprayers(CO2/nitrous) on the intake mani. runners to lower the temparature... will it work???
Is it something reasonable(sic)???
The price of the CO2 kits are really not expensive and if one of those gaskets, as posted by the makers, can give up to 12whp, how much will this kit be able to give???
This is MY IDEA... Please don't copy it!!!

your idea has already been done and used.
There were a few threads on honda-tech about using this idea on a jrsc, as far as I know, its still a work in project for that member.

Wow... I didn't know that... Has anyone else tried it.
I think it will help a lot. I mean if a small gasket can do as much as 12whp(as posted) then this will have to be a better increase...
Sounds ok???

A lot of times, gain in WHP is relative, some manufacturer only measure gain at its highest peak, and not worry about any other points in the curve.
For example, Skunk 2 IM makes less HP at it;s peak than the JG IM, but when I look at the skunk IM, it makes power steadily accross the powerband and even though it only gain 5 hp over stock, but I was happy that it makes 2-4 hp consistently accross the curve.
I haven't seen the JG dyno, but supposedly if it makes 10 HP at its peak and nothing accross, the curve, I would be more intesrested in the skunk rather than the JG.
My point is, I wouldn't take manufacturer's claim as your based reference, dyno it and see the difference you can achieve. That's the only legit and solid based you can make comparison on.

Hey Stan... anything on the kit???
Anyways what about this setup? Do you think it'll increase the hp???
For the price, if it gives me 10-15whp, I think it's great... Some people pay 200$ for a CAI and get 5whp. This setup is cheap and if it gives more than that I think is a good deal/idea...

i contacted dei about making a co2 kit that would replace the im gasket with a 1/2 inch thick aluminum piece that had co2 traveling through it,they really didnt give me a yes or no but i allways thought if someone put the time into it it could work.

Good idea until you have to start changing the Co2 cartridges. I don't know about you, but popping the hood every ten minutes could get to be annoying after a while. It'd be better if youjust create an open air volume and pull air through it.
