Default take a look any thing stand out? cooling problems and 195 180 190 190 compression

motor has less than 600miles on it been battling cooling issues, seems to be getting air pockets built up every time i think its fixed after bleading airout it comes back, pouring coolent out the over flow. so checked compression 195 180 190 190 and arp head studs seam to be loose like at 65 ft lbs then I riped it apart today.im thinking head lift.going to cheak for straight ness of head and install oem head gasket insted of comedic gasket.
1 anything else i so check for or do before i install it ?
2 what do u use to check for head warpage?
i want this problem over with this time around. thanks in advance for any help.

Did you have cooling issues before the block guard was installed?

no it was stock, no turbo, no aftermarket parts.got it back from my tuner with like 2 miles on the motor and be fighting it ever since.when i dont boost it no problems no over heating no coolent pulking out all over,no coolent in oil, no smoke . but give it 18psi and say hello coolent.

If your getting coolant in the oil it sounds like the headgasket isnt sealing properly. May i ask why you decided to use a block guard? There basically pointless and i've heard they can contribute to overheating.

no, there is no oil in the coolent . the engine builder puts block gaurds in all the nonsleaved motors he builds. in cyl. 2 (i think. from right to left looking at the car) there is a small scratch in the wall that i can just feel with my nail, this is the cyl. with 180 on it. how would this have goten there with only 600miles on it and yes it was cleaned very good when i assembled it.

Can you take a close up of the cyl walls for us?

Where is the scratch at? Top/bottom or left/right? of the piston.

The small scratch in the cylinder wall is most likely contributing to the compression in #2 being slightly low. Also if you say your headstuds were a bit loose, could be a problem there. Might be something funny with your comedic headgasket..

Do you have an aftermarket radiator or stock radiator? My brother's 01 GSR turbo did the same thing. After new headgasket, water pump, arp headstuds, bleeding coolant system, and new thermostat it still over heat while he was on boost or using AC. After he upgrade to a koyo radiator he no longer have that issue.

"Well there's your problem." I have a feeling your going to be happy after you put the OEM gasket on there.

How are you filling the cooling system? the old pour and puke or with a vacuum?

block guards are supposed to be intstalled 1/2" below the deck to prevent hot spots...

i fill it with a large funnle one with a radiator cap on the bottem that lets u fill the funnle all the way up to make sure its the highest point in the cooling system to get all the air out. this is the same one i use at work on all cars i work on, no problems with those cars. block gaurd is set below about 1/4 of an inch

definetly sounds like the headgasket was lifting under boost, which could explain the fairly consistent compression
