T3 Turbo, Needs coolant?
My friend bought a T3 turbo and it has oil housing and also coolant housing? Can he just run the oil through and no coolant? This turbo came off of a Volvo.
You can run it with out the water lines, but I wouldnt do it. Its very easy to run the lines to the turbo.
First, I took the hose that runs from the IAC to the throttle body off at the TB. Used a hose fitting to connect a silicon vaccum line to the stock hose the stock hose and ran it to a aluminium pipe that I beaded at the end. Then the hose is then conneced to Earl fittings on the bearing housing.
Then I did the oppisite thing on the other side of the turbo and ran that hose into the coolant line under the vtec silinoid. Ingnore the dirt and carbon stains..lol

Its a tool that they sell from Earl's that will make a lip around the pipe.
Here is a pic of what I used for the 3/8 pipe. Basically you insert it into the pipe turn the nut so the little ball bearing puts a bead in it. Then you turn the other one to make the lip around the entire pipe.
