T3 turbo And light weight flywheel?! Good or Bad?!
Hi All
I got a b18b1 with a T3 and i dynoed at 225Whp I was wondering about purchasing a light weight flywheel, Somebody told me that this wouldnt be a good idea beacause it may break the flywheel since its too thin, anybody agree with him or he is full of **** ?!
Thank you

The flywheel will help you get in to boost a little quicker and generally rev up slightly quicker, i have heard that the aluminium flywheels do get warpped under boost. I dont know anyone that its happened too tho. Ive got a fidanza in mine its doin ok at the moment.

you will be fine. the main point of a lighter flywheel on turbo application imo is quicker and easier revmatching.

dont these aftermarket flywheels chatter alot?
i have a tough enough time catching 8.8k on a stock flywheel boosting, i cant even imagine trying to catch it on a lightened flywheel.
Soon as I hit boost that tach needles goes flying!
