Bump for you.

I plan on going with this turbo on my ls motor. Planning on boosting 11-12 psi.

the amount of boost determines when u hit full boost. on my b18c1 its around 4k at 9 psi

Should be 4k area. Not too much higher.
Pretty good spool time IMO.

In 2nd gear I see full 9 psi by 4500 in 4th or 5th gear I see full boost by 3200. It also depends on the gear. I have the same turbo only it's a 57 trim and same engine only its a b18b (no diffrence really). Also I use a ramhorn style manifold so that slows the spool time a little but runs hard all the way to 7000!

kinda off-topic but, are there any spool time differences between the sc61 and sc44? or is it negligible? im looking for a good turbo to get me more or less 400hp on a b18b with minimal lag

The smaller turbo spools faster. The SC44 will be a better choice for your goals.

thanks man. for some reason i could've sworn that i've heard that their lag was about the same several times. i think im going delirious

p.s. - one last question. is the sc44 as efficient as the sc61?

That question is too generic. Different turbos have different efficiency ranges. It all comes down to picking the right turbo for YOUR setup and goals.

sorry that was a bad question. i've heard of people making in the 250-300 whp range on their b18b with the sc61 at around 9psi, i was just wondering how the sc44 compared at the same psi range.

It doesn't matter what psi you make the power at. Who cares whether you make 250-300whp at 9 psi or at 15 psi? What really matters is how fast you can spool the turbo to that psi level.
