Default t3/t67 debate...how much whp should you expect?

how much whp should the full-race t3/t67 be capable of supporting? i have read a couple of peoples setups where theyre running the t3/67 and have put down 600+ whp.

i have a built ls/vtec with 85mm sleeves(2.0 liter) and im looking for at least 600+ whp on race gas and 400-450 on pump. will the t3/t67 support what im aiming for?

if not, then yes im listening to you cortney....lol!!!! pt71.......

ATLEAST 630 WHP has been done on the T3/T67 (Guy on this board did 627 @ 27 psi, there was an S2K that Geoff mentioned that did 628) so I think 600 is very doable. The T3/T67 is a good choice, it will make insane power, but not be too terribly laggy for the street. The jump between a T3/T67 and a PT67 is about a thousand RPM's worth of lag, give or take a bit depending on your wheel and housing options. I had a PT67 on my hatch for a while, and the car was absolutely sickening on the highway, but in the first couple of gears (ESPECIALLY on street tires) were just no fun because boost hits so hard and so abruptly that you just spin. I'm doing a sort of restoration of an EG hatchback, and my motor/turbo combo is going to be 84MM LS/VTEC + T3/T67 for sure.

yes the power you are looking for is very obtainable. and yes the power was 628@at 26 lbs. with a stock head port head, only springs and retainers. no cams or porting.

but as far as your question goes, yes. we have done a handful of cars that have made numbers like you are looking for.....Miller

All you ever do is spew hate for the T3/T67 because "wheel speed" this and "destroyed bearings" that.

Fact is there are lots of people running T3/T67's and lots of people making good power on T3/T67's, if you think on paper it ain't going to work, tough ****. I just crossed 20 thousand miles on my T3/T67, and somehow it hasn't ripped itself to shreds yet. Must be an act of god.

I have a t3/t67 (.82a/r) stage 5 wheel w/ a 83mm gsr fully built motor built reving to 9500k and the turbo still wants more. Turbo feels perfect on the street and is a beast on the highway and i am only 11.5 psi w/ 9:1 cr. No dyno time but should be around 375-400 whp range. The lag is there but not bad, i am still starting to build boost around 3500rpm. I have only had it on the road for 2 weeks and i have loved everyday of it. I got the full race manifold, too so i know that has to help out alot. Tuned and built by NRG Tech.

Good luck with the turbo! I hear those are pretty expensive turbos...

BTW-Does anyone want to buy a revhard tubular? I bought it from someone but it was cracked as shown in the pictures but I'll sell it for $100

How would a T3/T67 feel on a D-series....I am in the process of a build up and would like to utilize built internals....

What kind of lag am I looking at revving to 8k in a (stock port, but with upgraded valvetrain to handle 8k) d16y8. Considering I have 3 in Dp no cat....anyone with experience

I am not looking for 600whp but Is this a good turbo for say 350 hp. Also, it will be more of a street driven car, some track time, but since the nearest track is about an hour drive

Jon

It's not a good turbo at all for 350 HP, especially on a 1.6L motor. You're looking at 2000 RPM's of powerband, tops.

wow i didnt know that ..ive never heard of such a large wheel in a that size housing... i would think that would be restrictive for that size turbine wheel....

as long as it is sized properly, its not restrictive. A few people have run this turbo with insane results. unfortunatley they havent posted any of their info.

We made 653whp on a T3/T66 using a P trim in a .82AR. I really like the T3-P trim setups.

Who's the bitch NEWB? You sold me this piece of crap for $240 and then cried poor mouth and that your mechanic checked it out and said it was in great shape and then you couldn't refund me because you were broke...

That was just 4 days before you said you bought this big turbo. No cash huh? Tard! I didn't call you out dumb ***, go back to high school I should fight you because you screwed me over -- no I'm calling you out with facts to back it up? You come here asking for help and then admit to screwing me over. Yah that will get you a lot of respect around here. I've been a sponsor here for a few years and seen how people take to thiefs. You are a picture of self control coming off like I'm the one with the issues. Usually people that can't argue facts depend on insults!

BTW I got an email from a guy that bought a GSR transmission from you on ebay and paid you for it only 24 hours after you say you bought this nice turbo. That was almost a month ago and he hasn't heard **** from you. Can he "CALL YOU OUT" for that or you just want to steal from him and then fight? You screwed that guy for $900 and now he can't get in touch with you. Hmm I wonder where that money went.

Oh and another thing I'm sure I couldn't kick your *** in a fight if I wanted to because I have muscular dystrophy. Look it up... They teach you to beat up handicapped people in the Air Force? I would expect better from military personel. The law sees threatening someone even in an internet forum is no different than face to face by the way.

I apologize to the rest of HT for bringing this up but people like this need to be shown for what they are.
