Default t3/t4 identification...

the turbos in these auctions are listed to have the same specs. why do the compressor inlets look different?

i emailed the guy and he said they are the same turbos. are they?

the second turbo does look bigger but the comprssor housings are different. i'd do some searches on turbo's from them. i've read post's where these turbo's lasted a week and then blew and i've read of some that have lasted for a while. good luck on you're buy.

I would stick with buying a turbo manufactured by a company that you know for sure makes a good turbo...like turbonetics, garret, inovative turbo systems, precision power, etc.

I havent heard many good things about any of ssac's products. do a search and youll see what I mean.

my firend has the first turbo, and make 490 FWHP with his GSR with it all day long, HE said he likes it way better then his old GT series. So some food for thought.

the question is how long has he been boosting with it and is it daily driven...the problem isnt that they dont make power...they just dont make power for long due the shitty balance of the wheels.

these replies are great and everything but they aren't answers to the questions i asked. at all. i dont care who's selling it or what the ebayer's credibility may be or that billy-joe off ebay sold you a broke turbo. let me take my own risks, guys.

does anyone know anything else about whether these two turbos are the same or not?

well billy bob, do they look the same? one has a inlet the size of soda can and the other plums out to about the size of cd. you tell me if their the same turbo. you should take our advice and buy something reliable.

do it right the first time!
