Default T3 60-1 questions...

well i tried installing my boost..and ran into a few problems.

1. with the drag manifold i have to shave the block..is there another manifold i could use tht will fit t3 60-1 without shaving the block??

2. i got my turbo from a junkyard and have some problems with this too, its water cooled and oil fed. i want to just use oil, but the oil feed and return are east-west instead of north south, like the water feed and return are. so can i run the oil north- south?? if so, what are the problems i can expect??
I wanted to clock the turbo, but some of the bolts on the exhaust side wont come up enough to clock the middle section, cause they are hitting parts of the water feed and 2 bolts are hitting the oil feed and return flanges, how can i fix this problem? Do i need to send this turbo to a "professional" or can i fix these problems, thank you.

You need a equal length turbo manifold.

And you could run any size turbo you want.

I sell them, the ones that go on my kit. I could hook you up on the price, just come to my site, and e-mail me.

Shaving the block is just ghetto as all heck. You don't want to touch your block. Keep it looking nice. Wait until you see my manifold.

You got a 60-1 from a junkyard? Are you sure what kind of turbo it is? What's the A/R on the intake and exhaust sides? The oil drain is gravity fed so it should be straight up and down. Pictures would help.

i dont have pics, but it was just like the one civicryda had posted when he was looking for a flange to fit on the compressor side to run an intake pipe. its t3 60-1 water cool and oil feed.

on the compressor side it says AR .60 M11
the model number is TB0344
it doesnt say anything on the exhaust side.

and like i said it has the oil feed and return going east-west
and the water feed and return going north-south

tried losening both sides, the compressor loosens and spins easy the exhaust side there are a couple of bolts that can come up all the way, one being blocked by the water feed and the other 2 being blocked by oil feed and return flanges.

You're not going to find a t3/60-1 in a junkyard on a stock production motor. The 60-1 also comes with a .70 a/r on the compressor side and doesn't have any kind of flange on the inlet for piping. It either has a 2.5" or 4" round opening. I think what you have is a t3 super 60 or something along those lines. Take a pic and i'll confirm it.

Yup, big difference between the t3 super 60 and 60-1. Post a pic when you can so i can get a better understanding on what you're talking about.

Tony tthis is Terry BOOSTFED on the local boards. I've been trying to get ahold of you for like 2 weeks. I asked a couple peeps for your phone #, sung gave me some disconnected one. You do not have a 60-1 is what I was gonna tell you before and have you bring it to me, I can measure the wheels and compare to my Turbonetics catalog the trims etc. I should've just PM'ed you.

Yeah, its from a thunderbird or merkur isnt it?
You'll have to rotate the center section for sure. The bolts are a major bitch, but it has to be done. If you dont think you can get them free without stripping them, just take/send it to a shop and let them deal with it.

I currently have a 60 trim t3 from a thunderbird myself.
