Default T28 cast manifold?

Hi all, as you can tell I am a new member so hopefully I posted this in the correct section. I'm building my first Honda engine it is a b20b low compression. I started off with a complete rebuild and along the way I found a cheap garret off of a s15 Silvia (currently stationed in Japan so parts like that are abundant) now, I've been able to find everything I need except for a manifold. I'm looking for a simple cast iron top mount t28 flanged manifold. If someone could please point me in the righty direction it would be greatly appreciated

Greddy, HKS, and Edelbrock were the only ones making a cast T25 flanged turbo manifold but they have been discontinued for quite some time. There are clones on eBay floating around every so often. However they are all bottom mount. No one makes a top mount. Neukin made a T25 flange mini ram but his shop was destroyed in a fire and he no longer makes manifolds, I got one of his last ones.

I have a Greddy manifold that I need to finish porting then I'm going to sell it. You could get the spa top mount and put an adapter flange on it but the longer runners are just going to make the turbo spool slower. The power potential of the GT2860R (what the S15 Turbo is assuming it's actually an S15 and not a 13/14) doesn't warrant anything more than a simple log manifold. You could make your own tubular top mount but again the setup doesn't warrant it and it will hinder your setup rather than help it.

That's what I was thinking as well, something simple since the turbo isn't anything special I actually have one of the t3 to t25 adapters but It's ugly and heavy as hell especially to mount on a tubular manifold. I would be interested in your greddy manifold if you are willing to sell it

Also here is the turbo if you can further identify it

I need the numbers off the tag on the CHRA to be able to determine what it is. Also a photo of the turbine outlet would help.

That's the compressor outlet. He means "HOT SIDE" Turbine inlet and outlet.

Beautiful shape. I know wantboost has the database for that part number. I have the full specifications of all the S13-S15 Nissan turbos and their efficiencies, so you know how far you can go.

I attempted a T25 cast manifold purchase from ebay, one of those crappy Chinese knock offs. It for starters was nothing like the manifold pictured and then it was not flanged for T25, it was a T3. Had to send that garbage back and the seller had no clue about manifolds and T25 vs T3 and could not guarantee I would get the correct part.

That's why you find the Edlebrock, GReddy or HKS manifolds as Wantboost suggested. Stick with those and you're fine.

Aw man that would be awesome if you could provide that. Also I'm currently considering running e85 with a flex fuel sensor the only limiting factor would really be be finding a tuner capable of doing such suprisingly where I am in Japan there is a very small Honda following, but any way thanks all for the replies

There's no point running that there. The efficiency range on that turbo well run out long before you'd see any benefits to using higher octane fuel there. There RON rating there for fuel is more than enough.

Where are you in Japan? There's quite a few tuners I know that can help. Doesn't have to be Honda specific

The 75F00 comes back as a pre-facelift S14 (Zenki) journal bearing T28. So basically it's a journal bearing GT2860. Still a solid performing turbo capable of about 320-330hp.

I do want to sell the manifold, like I said I just need to finish up the port work and gasket matching although I have no idea what they are worth. The only "problem" is bolts are broken off in two of the heat shield mounts but you'll never be able to find one and because I was going to ceramic coat it that didn't bother me much as I was going to cut the mounts off before hand. Like I said they are rare, the one I bought was the last one I've seen for sale in years, especially without it being part of the kit.

Sorry bro I suck at computers. I meant to say whenever you are done with the manifold I would be interested. Do you have any idea the price you are trying to get? And I also wanted to thank you for the turbo info
