The s15 uses a T28, not a T25.

And not all of those were ball bearing. There were some s15's that were std bearing

T25's wont be ball bearing as far as i know

Definitely not. If you want a ball bearing GT25R, go to your local turbo store and buy a 471171-3.

Hmmm...I wonder if that ball bearing center section can replace a regular 2g DSM center section. Anyone know if it'll work?

Err...

Why? Why spend a grand to buy a whole new turbo, and then spend more time trying to swap crap around? If you're going to buy a new $1,000 turbo, just use it.

I ask for 2 reasons.

(1) to find out if it is a direct bolt-in swap for either just the center cartridge or the complete turbo. This way I'll know if any extra work is needed to upgrade, and that is valuable info for anyone considering it.

(2) I'm sure it would save maybe $200-$300 to buy just the center cartridge instead of the complete turbo. So if you already have the housings, the wastegate actuator, the plumbing, etc. and it is quick and easy to put them on, then why would you buy new stuff to replace stuff you already have? I can understand if someone just wants to have all new stuff, or cause it's functionally better, or shiny, but if it works the same and it saves money then why not do it?

Of course, having the answer would immediately tell me if it was worth doing or not, but I have to ask the question to get the answer. That's all.
