Switching cams need input on cam gears
so im curently running stock b16 cams on my b20v turbo. and they have cam gears on them, the marks are both at 0 on both cam gears but i think my intake cam it one tooth advance. thats how it looked when i had the crank at tdc, the cams were not aligned. so my question is: i have gsr cam layin around, will i be able to mark the timing belt and cam gears, take off the cam gears from the b16 cam, and drop in my gsr cams, tighten them up and they will be exactly where they were on the b16 cams? the car runs perfect now so i dont want to make any adjustments with the timing. or will the cam gears be set differently on the gsr cams? this may sound confusing but i hope you guys understand what im trying to do.

Re: Switching cams need input on cam gears
well with putting gsr cams in your going to need to get a tune. the car is going to run differently no matter what you do with the cam gears. put both the cam gears at 0. put in the gsr cams. put on the cam gears. time the motor and line all marks up. then go get it tuned.

Re: Switching cams need input on cam gears
i think i will just stick with the b16 cams then. so i dont need a retune. i noticed my timing belt was a bit loose on the front side(from the exhaust cam to the crank) and i moved the crank pulley a lil bit to compensate fot all that slack. and then i thought F.U.C.K., i just effed up the timing. so whats my best be on reversing what i did(when i moved the crank)? ughhhh
