SVE 3 bar MAP sensor?
$62 for the 3 bar MAP sensor and connector. This seemed like a pretty good deal, does SVE make quality products?
Here is a link to the stuff.

Thanks!

Bump.
Anyone recommend this map sensor? I know Camp1320 sells them for a pretty good price (the GM ones) but not sure if it comes with everything you need like this one does.

I bought one of those a few weeks ago and it is great. It came with everything needed to install it, except the wire itself. It also included very detailed instructions. Unlike some of the other sensors I've tried, the plug was acutally the correct one for the sensor.

As already noted, the SVE unit is a GM one, in the GM box, with their sticker over the GM sticker.
BTW, $62 + $40 almost buys two GM 3 bar shipped to the door from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com. I feel bad for anyone who spends $100+ for a sensor

That may be the case, but I would gladly spend the extra few dollars to ensure that I've got everything I need, including really good instructions and not have to go hunt around in junk yards, then try to figure out how I'm supposed to hook the thing up.

Re: SVE 3 bar MAP sensor? (tthame1)
It's three wires; power, ground, and signal return. Hondata has an excellent writeup to be found here: http://www.hondata.com/3barinstall.html
You can order the MAP sensor pigtail from GM, too, for less than $9. Junkyard ones work fine, there are 2-3 of those style connectors on any given GM, but they are not "splined" or "keyed" correctly as only the GM 3 bar connector has the correct splines. Thirty seconds with some side cutters and the problem is solved.
Now, SVE seems to have a price on the OEM part that is within a few dollars of what GMpartsdirect charges. If you go through them, cool beans. It was the poor guy paying over $100 for an OEM GM 3 bar that made me sad.
