surge/idle/vacuum problem
I had an strange probelm pop up. Car is gsr swap delsol with drag turbo kit. Car has been running great the last couple of years then all of a sudden while cruising at about 40 mph the car just lost power and started idleing real bad so I got it home and one of my injectors died (getting crazy resistance readings) RC550 so i replaced that then the distributor took a crap and i replaced that. Now that if finally cranks again the car has a rougher idle and lower vacuum reading and the idle surges on startup and the car has little power.......Compression test is next when I get off work....Anyone else have any ideas. ..Tuned 2.5 years ago on uberdata, not a daily driver and rarely beaten on......

the surging idle with vacuum problems sounds like the IACV took a deuce too... but it's pretty weird that that many things crapped out on you all at once.

But would that cause a huge loss in power...its like the car is hitting a brick wall or trying to accelerate with the ebrake on.

Re: surge/idle/vacuum problem
Unless they were the exact same injector model, I'd take a look at AFR's. Since uber isn't as advanced as other ems's, and most people run w/o an o2 sensor, it could just be very rich or lean at idle now.
Different injectors could run leaner at very low pulse widths, then as the ecu increases it to idle higher, it suddenly gets rich enough to make the rpm's jump.
You should also check all lines for cracks, and intake-side gaskets for leaks. If they are letting in air, or your IACV is failing, it may have the same symptoms.

Re: surge/idle/vacuum problem
same exact model of injector. im beginning to think maybe something happened to my tune in uberdata since I seemed to have an electrical gremlin hit me all at one time...compression results in a few mins.

Compression came back within specs 185 to 190 all cylinders...Im beginning to think its my tune....any other opinions...........

Re: surge/idle/vacuum problem
that's the most logical since everything seemed to crap at once.
Could one of your resistors or your resistor box malfunctioned and cooked the ecu?
