Default Supra Help

I have a '95 Toyota Supra Non-Turbo and want to swap it out with a 2JZ-DET. What kind of turbo would be best to go with it to make 400-500 whp? Would i need a bov? Internal work? exhuast manifold?

If you swap a stock 2JZ-GTE (not DET like you thought...), you can make 400+ WHP from the stock twins. Downpipe, exhaust, air intake/filters, boost controller, and some tuning, and your on your way...

If you want to make some CRAZY numbers, you can always do a single turbo conversion. A stock Supra block can ussually take upwards of 700 WHP, especially if the turbo is big enough...

You can also get aftermarket twins, a little harder to tune, but much less lag. You'll ALWAYS need a BOV, and an aftermarket manifold. Like I said before the Supra block is INSANE! You probably DON'T need any internal work, if anything get a nice crower cam.

If you got the money, do a single-T conversion. You can get small enough turbos to have a little less lag (maybe a T66 or a 60-1?), or a massive turbo (T88) and you'll have crazy peak Hp numbers.

Don't forget the dyno time to get it running right...

Good luck.
