Default Supercharging...an LS?

I originally wanted to go with supercharging my LS Integra, because I heard it would be better in case I wanted to do any sort of autocrossing. But when I asked about it, I was told that at 6 psi the JRSC only added 30 or so HP, and it would probably not break 200 hp (wheel or crank) at 8psi. They say that the LS's redline is terrible for it, etc. Has anyone supercharged their LS integra and had good results?

In all honesty man I personally would never sc a LS engine. If you wanna do the auto-x thing may I suggest a b16/b18c1/b18c5 all motor/jrsc. If you do sc the LS I have a feeling you wont be all that happy especially when a turbo LS wants to run you. At this point you wll then realize why did I not turbo my damn LS. Go out and get a swap done or goto http://www.groupbuycenter.com and pick youself up drag3 kit. Then get a passeger to take a picture of your face when you reach full boost. Turbos have alot more potential then sc's. Intake temp will really become a big big problem when you try to up the boost escpecially on the jackson racing kit. I heard someone was trying to develop a intercooler for the jr kit but dont know how thats going. Good luck on your choice

bottom line is performance, not hp numbers, right? with that said, i run times that other cars need a lot more power to run. JRSC LS on 6 psi. To top things off, its an automatic! For autocrossing its great, for casual drag racing its pretty good, but for all out speed and hardcore drag racing... its no good.

The LS redline at stock puts out a measily 80whp maybe... with the JRSC, you have about 160whp! DOUBLE that of stock! It does tend to want to pull past redline, but that can be fixed.

Basically for autocrossing, go JRSC or All Motor. In my opinion, a JRSC is the least stressful of all other mods out there. (aside from minor bolts ons of course) Turbo's are good, but keep it small! A GReddy Turbo Kit should be good for autocrossing cuz it has almost no lag. If you go big like most of these guys then you'll have lag and you wont be able to power out of turns.

Either way would be a good choice. I prefer the JRSC for autocrossing.

i had a jrsc on my ls and it blew nuts it only ran a 15.2 1/4 mile jrsc sucks on ls motors i'm going b20 turbo maybee you should look into that. the jdm b20b has thicker cylinder walls than the ls so it can handle a little more boost

jrsc ls

jdm b20 turbo

the m45 is complete and utter garbage. and the m62 is no better on a b18b. Do yourself a BIG favor and don't waste the money on a JRSC. I have driven an 8psi JRSC LS and to say the least...it felt marginally faster then a type r.

sounds like you did something wrong with your car... 15.2 is SLOOOOOOOOOW for JRSC LS... oh well, maybe the fact that JR basically installed my kit had something to do with my better outcome.
