Supercharging an automatic Integra LS

Supercharging an automatic Integra LS
Guys...is it possible, or would it be wise to throw a supercharger on an Integra LS that is automatic. I realize that turbo would give me more power, but the automatic doesn't really give me the ability to rev up the engine to an extreme, also i hear the supercharge will kick in immediately. I'm not too knowledgeable on this subject, so I just want some input. My car can get to 3k RPM's easily, and I hear a supercharger does well at that area. So basically, would a supercharger be worth it, in order to get some more power in my car? Any input would be great, thanks. By the way, I will NOT be buying a turbo....so don't suggest.

I know that there isn't to many sc posts but I'm sure you would find some if you looked.
IMO A sc would complement your engine nicely if you looking for a little more pep. It's not going to be some road warrior by any means but it would bump your hp up a little and give you some nice passing power.
Whats your reason for not going turbo? If it's because you think turbo's are for top end only your wrong. I properly sized turbo will spool fast and give a power curve similar to a supercharger. It's just most people (like me) favor a little more top-end power over a more street able power curve. I myself prefer to have 20extra hp up top then the have it down low. Example would be a greddy kit, they use smaller turbo's that spool fast while providing a decent power curve. Or you could opt for say a drag kit or something that has a larger t3t4 turbo, that favors a higher peak hp but spools later. I'm partial to turbo's because they are so versatile, thats not to say that sc are not worth the money.

the jrsc's for the b18b (ls motor) are not worth the money.
considering the car is an auto... i would just make it look nice and not try to make it fast unless you are ready to spend alot of $$$$.

hey if you've search you can find some guy in a auto teg that runs 13.9 with JRSC, and so other that run turbos. I'm currently running a 15g on my auto teg now, kinda sucks because i have issues. blown seals, not holding/building boost right...etc

So is the verdict that it works? Will there be any major problems? I am going to make it look better before I do this. I just want to know in advance. Thanks.

before you add any type of force induction to your automatic, i suggest you get a larger aftermarket tranny oil cooler. And maybe some synthetic atf. Good luck with whatever you do.

i heard that auto cars that are FI are dangerous. Like you can be going around a turn and the car down-shifts and you go into boost?
i dunno, seems kinda silly but i could see it being a possibility at the same time.
any one heard about this?

actually sometimes when it downshifts it won't go into boost. When i go on the freeway on ramp, it will almost boost when going into 4th. So sometimes i leave it in d3 then when i get to speed 50mph+ i put it in d4

LOL, Thats the funniest thing I've heard in a while.
For one your not going to be driving and the car suddently downshifts then suddenly the turbo decides to spool. It don't work like that.
I would be more concerned with your driving habbits if your turning corners and your not aware that you've floored the car enough to create boost.
FYI boost is NOT rmp dependent it's load dependent. I can do 6k rpm and not be boosting, as a matter of fact I dit 4,500 rpm for about 15 miles without boosting (had to, not fuel management)
