Default Supercharger reliability on the track?

Anybody with boosted engines have any problems running your supercharged or turbocharged Hondas at the track? Things like lapping days, practice events...etc? Just curious. Thanks in advance

My experience is with a supercharger but no problems so far. If you pay attention to your intake temps (a gauge is a VERY good idea) and are realistic about what it's capable of then you shouldn't have any problems. I've taken mine to several HPDE weekends and know several other people with JRSC's as well and we have never had any problems.

I do have to back it off a bit when I see intake temps getting over 220 degrees though. The power falls WAY off and the J&S unit I have starts to detect a lot of knock. I just did a leak down test and a compression test though and the engine is perfectly healthy.

I may have only done a handful of events on the blower, but I did a lot of fun drives up the sea to sky, throuuugh the valley, and around town and the jrsc is a good unit. Keep the boost to a respectable 6psi, and don't touch your timing, and you'll be okay.

For a completely reliable system, lose the FMU and go with some sort of fuel/timing controller like the AEM or Hondata.

My friend used to drive around with 2 extra belts in his JRSC CRX. That car had some SEROUS grunt !!! The power fell off uptop, but the torque was crazy !! Prob. the best thing for a daily driven honda !!

BUT
belt breaks, altinator goes dead...

i did plenty of HPDE's laps at gingerman raceway in 90+ degree heat and had ZERO problems of any kind! no detonation according to the J&S, rock solid performance, and had many a 996 driver wondering wtf i was doing so close to them in their rear view mirror. performed flawlessly ... longest session was a 50 minute session. non stop. no problems at all. baseline kit for ITR.
