What I'm saying is Vortech's suck and Procharger's suck for any small displacement car. They don't add any power on the low end at all, and the top end is still WELL behind what a turbo makes. Highest HP Vortech is that dude on ClubSI, 330 WHP @ 18 psi on a built motor, that's spectacular
JRSC's make nice low end torque, but die off on the top end. Turbo is superior.

Well....if you decide to stay supercharged. Internals should be fine with lower psi, maybe change fuel pump and injectors

Here's a question for you. Why would you spend more money on a completely inferior power adder? Cheapest you can get an intercooled Vorturd kit is 4100 from Superchargersonline.com. For that price you can have a full-race kit plus hondata and bigger injectors! It's a waste of money and time!

You shoud seriously consider going turbo. People here know what they are talking about. At 5.88 psi on my turbo im pushing around 225 whp and thats on low boost.

For our small displacement motors stay away from belt driven turbines like prochargers and vortech.
They have the WORST of both worlds.....no low end....must spool up...parasitic drag!!

yeah i figured so. i always heard that supercharger was the safer and quicker way to gain power when choosing either supercharger or turbo..but if turbo is the way i need to go, then so be it...they'll just be another turbo em1 on the road i guess

quick question...what brand turbo would you guys recommend to boost a low 8psi or so..nothing major, just something to get myself into the 13s or so. Im not looking to build a 10-11 sec. turbo car, just something thats gonna be chill to drive daily.

I paid $2000 canadian dollars for my vortech kit and it safely runs 10psi on stock internals all day. In the price i also got a autometer boost and a/f woppie, yes i know. Although for 4100usd i agree the turbo might be a better choice.
Thats not to say the vortech kit is slow, unless you are talking built engines for 2000 you would be hard pressed to beat my little crx. Although im not saying it can't be done.

You can piece together your own custom turbo for hundreds if you know where to look.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thank you for that stunning revelation. Now, if maybe you'd think about going back and READING.
