Supercharge a 97gsr
does anyone have an opinion on whether it is wise to supercharge a 97gsr with 140k miles? I am not sure whether I want to spend the money if it is going to kill the car. Car is well taken care of but it is a commuter car....please help guys/girls

Before you spend any money do a leackdown a compression test. These should tell you if your motor is in good shape therefore you'll know if it'll handle the boost.
I know there are guys in here that have motors with high mileage and are boosting with no problems.

Supercharged or turbocharged? It's all good either way but 140,000 miles. My guess is your clutch would be the first thing to die if that's never been replaced.

Re: Supercharge a 97gsr (4dGSR at work)
Thanks for the advice guys!!!
140k miles and still running strong.
I commute 116 miles a day....
Is it worth the $$ or should I invest in a 00-01 teg and then supercharge that?
I don't want to put big bucks into a car that is going to blow in 30k miles...you know what I mean?

If your motor is in good shape boost is boost. if you want till wait till 6000 rpm then go drag, but tunning is the key. Boost doesn't hurt motors, detenation kills them!
