Default Suggestions on Bearings...

Ok I know that there's tons of opinions out there but I also know that some bearings do better in different types of setups... So here's the setup...

B18c1 golden eagle sleeved block punched out to 84mm.
Eagle H beams
Wiesco (sp) 9.5cp pistons
Virgin GSR head with skunk 2 everything
skunk 2 tuner 2 cams

JRSC LHT converted running 14psi

Will also be running a 2 stage nitrous 75hp then 150hp

So will any one bearing work better on this type of setup then another...

I think people are going to want to know exactly how much has been taken off the crank ie. has it been micro polished? I know you might get better fittings with one over the other like ACL compared to OEM. The shop I go2 says OEM if you can unless you can get better clearances with ACL.

The crank has been micropolished and balanced to 11k... all standard mains and rod I mic'ed the crank when it got home and its dead on std. across the board. Measurements were verifyied using service manual... mains are 55.00mm and rods are 45.00mm

Depends what cleared e you want to run as to what bearings you are going to run and what oil weight you want etc. it's not just buy this bearing kind of answer

This thread is already in a nose dive...
Engine application does not dictate brand of bearing.
Plus this has been discussed in hundreds of bearing threads.
Go with what your shop recommends.

You need to decide on tolerances firs
Loose race/high hp/rpm motor
Or
Tight street motor, medium power levels and reasonable rev limit

Plus you need to decide on an oil viscosity as that plays a large role in clearances

Or just say **** it and buy acls and swap bearings from journal to journal until you get a fairly even tolerance average.

You need to search a bit and see what other people are doing and decide from there...

I can tell you this, run an oil with a high zinc content... turbos love it and it's good on bearing life. A few I can think of real quick are Brad Penn and Rotella T6 full synthetic

Don't forget to break the motor in on standard petroleum oil in the viscosity you plan on running overall
