Boost pressure, exhaust temp.

Those are the two most important. Third (in my opinion) being oil pressure for ***** and giggles.

I agree, def boost and egt, then go with oil pressure, and you should have a fuel pressure gauges somewhere, I'd just go with a cheap B&M

so egt i assume is exhaust gas temp. why is the temp important? is boost necessary if its a SC? since supposedly the boost is 6psi. i'm just asking because as you can tell i'm new in this area. also what is B&M? thanks for the replies already!

EGT is exhaust temp, yes... place in the correct location, this gauge will give you a good idea if you're running the engine in a rich or lean condition.

As far as the boost gauge goes... no matter what type of forced induction system you're running -- you'll want to know what boost you're making, and also what vacuum you're making (to ensure a healthy motor at all times).

B&M is a company that makes "cheap" fuel pressure gauges for about 40 bucks new. Another wise investment...

EDIT: Grammar.
