Stupid question on boost gauge
I am having the following dilemma.......
I have an autometer VAC/boost gauge. While the engine is off, the needle doesnt sit at 0 some times, I´ve been told this is due to atmospheric pressure variations......is this correct? I don´t know whether this happens, or if my gauge is way off, some times when it is sitting over the 0 mark, it seems to read more boost, although my VAFC peak reads OK.
Should I trust this gauge? And is the VAFC reading accurate (always under 9 psi)?

Autometers aren't always accurate. Mine was within .5 psi of my VAFC, but a lot of people complain about the Autometers. I liked mine, though. oh, and Autometers are notorious for also sitting "off center."
I've heard some people have problems with the autometer gauges including boost. I had one on my civic for over 2 years with no problems. Gauge costed me $50bux and worked fine. Now i have an apexi gauge that costed me 140bux and does the same
should've bought the autometer again
should've bought the autometer again
