I recieved my timesert package today and a whole day early too. So i went to tap out the thread in the block i stripped. I taped everything off and hand tightened the drill down. Finished that and pulled it back out. Guess what happened?? my ******* block broke. There is a giant hole now in the inside of the block. The part around the sleeves that holds the coolant. The thread that stripped is the one closest to the water pump. so this block is pretty much gone... yay....i hate my car.

I have a spare bare d16z6 block with a messed up crank. I guess i'm just going to swap blocks and use crank thats in my car now. I know i probably need new piston rings and i need main and rod bearings. Everything else on my block in my car right now only has about 6k miles on it. Anything else i should get?

 

c'mon,since low milage-yes on the oil pump--NO on any gaskets/seals
