Main concern is the chips.. Is this acceptable?

 

yes. it looks like just paint chips. but if there is more then no. did u buy this local or from a shop? if so send it back

 

From a reputable shop/retailer with no others in stock and clutch goes in friday.

I coulda call first thing and see about a shipment but ugh

 

just paint chips on the springs... thats nothing. once you use the clutch and pull it out you'll find theres normally no paint left on the springs... its normal

Without having any information about your build, running 12-15psi and using a full face disc, you shouldnt have any problem breaking anything. If you properly preload the clutch at the line you will not break your stock axles at the power level that Im assuming you will be at. (300ish whp) The stock diff should be fine as well since people go 9's on stock diff.

 

if he doesn't he'll either shatter the disc, pop a spring out, or pop a cv... its really common

I've been dumping this car hard over 6000 if I have too. Nothin broke in several years. So if that happens ill sell the Honda for a vw :p

 

160km on the clutch so far no complaint it feels tough, I will break in until
About 5-600km and its off to the track.
