Sounds pretty normal for cruising. The ECU leans the mixture a bit when you're just cruising to save some gas

but as soon as i hit the gas and start to boost it will go back down, ..
Because that's when you're engine is getting the extra fuel it wants dropping your EGT's..

I dont know how long the drive is but prolonged heat in that range does embrittle the head and heat soaks the quench area which if hot enough could detonate, I like running my car real rich on the highway - its a trade off. I am pretty sure running full 3" exhaust would lower temps by 100C. also consider backing off timing a couple of degrees as you obviously have too high max cylinder pressure under zero load. this may cool things down a bit two. also setting cams to overlap more will also cool things, but not make more power.

I used to have the same problem except my egt's would be around 780 c while cruising on the freeway. I had a 12:1 fmu with 310 injectors. I recently swapped out the fmu disc to an 8:1 and adjusted the fuel on the v-afc and my egts dropped by 70-80 c while cruising. I was thinking that when I had the 12:1 fmu I had to pull more fuel(ex:-20%) then with the 8:1 fmu(ex:-15%). So while cruising and not boosting, it was pulling out fuel making the car run lean and have higher egts. What fuel controller do you have?

I only have the inline pump and 12:1 fmu, everything else is stock, i kinda ran out of money for the car, my dad decided i had to pay my fraternity dues this semester, so im SOL, and I also started to put aside some money for a new clutch.

The EGT's are fine. But here's a solution to your money problems. I have a few friends that need to get tuned, you can try that and I'm sure they'll give you a few bucks in return.
