Strait up turbo poll.
Vote on your what you think is the best kit. Don't just vote for what you have. Also, do everyone a favor and say why you like it better than the rest.

haha everyone hates that picture... I hate it too..
but i voted custom but only if u really know what u r doing when putting the kit together... if u r a begginer just get a good complete kit and learn the rest along your way..

I think the best answer is "custom" because there are no kits with a true quality standalone engine / fuel management solution, which is clearly the best solution. Given a bit of information you can make a custom kit using a hondata or other ECU solution and end up with a far better car in the long run for about what it costs to buy one of the "kits" on the market. I know this is what I wish I had done.
Regarding the picture, all I can say is TIMMAY!!!!!!

it will actually be abit more in cost to go custom (unless you buy your stuff over time for great deals) but the little bit more in cost is worth it IMO

When you say the "best kit" I voted Greddy because of why I bought it and not for what will create the most HP. Now, as to reason I bought the Greddy kit. I had never installed a turbo and wanted something that was all inclusive, easy to install, not too pricey, and allow me to cut my teeth with the fundamentals of forced induction. The Greddy kit has everything that you need to get up and going and does not cost much at all. I liked the quality of the parts that are in the kit, however, the instructions suck a big one.
The other kits might have the same quality of parts but I have not installed any of the other kits.
I do know that price wise, I got a good deal on the Greddy kit. The maximum HP is going to be on the lower scale in comparison to say an FMAX kit but I wanted a daily driver and did not what to invest in building the bottom end on my D16. My next choice would be an engine swap and then selecting another turbo kit for a lot of HP.
If I were to vote on what turbo would lay down the most power, I would think that going custom would be the best route for that goal. I also think that my next turbo will be custom.

I voted custom just cause I am a cheap bastard and want to see if I could boost my car with the least amount of money spent. Lets see so far I am at about $400 and all I need is charge piping, down pipe, fmu, and fuel pump. So thats what I think. Later on I will actually spend more money on the turbo itself.
ITR-481,
Ok, you have your own opinion.. but why do you think they suck? Or maybe you just heard it off someone else? Have you ever intalled a DRAG 3 kit or even been in a car that has one? What experiences have you gone through to deem DRAG kits as a kit that "sucks?"

I have an fmax kit for a 97 prelude and its very good Quality. I think you guys are making a very good Desision. One thing to remember is your air fuel r . Make sure you get dyno time. NO kit is perfectly tuned for your car. Its very eaasy to f*ck up with a turbo. I speak from experience.
