Default stock fuel system capabilities

how much horsepower can the stock fuel system support, assuming larger injectors (550's), a walbro 255lph fuel pump, and a standalone engine mamagement system?

Well, there's not much of your "stock" system left now is there? Aside from the rail and FPR, both of which can take lots more than you'll probably ever need, you're set.

thanks. i dicn't find that one when i searched. and i am familar with the injector stuff, but was wondering more along the lines of the limitiations of the fuel rail/lines etc...wondering about problems with back pulses from large injectors on a smaller fuel rail, etc...

The rail and lines can handle a pretty good amount of pressure, but like I said it's all up to the way you plan on fueling your car.

i would like to keep the fuel pressure low and go with larger injectoors, high flow fuel pump and a standalone
