Check this piston and rod for my friends car b16a 91 CRX every thing was running perffectly until this happend. only 20,000 miles, without NOS or Turbo

float a couple valves?

if its anything like the b16 i blew, there is nothing worth keeping.

both Exhaust valves were broken even thought that the both inlet and outlet valve spring were double (Type R valve springs)

 

thats why i went with portflow springs and retainers on my next motor.......but thats gone now too. ******* thieves.

how high was he reving?

8200 RPM Stock PR3 ECU

 

this is the biggest part of the piston, it all happend in the first gear

 

 

my friend b16a(gen 1) did the same ****....no nos or turbo...runnning type r cams/value/springs/retainers...ported head. He was driving normally..got off the highway..then hurt a pop...piston #1 shot into the oil pan(exhaust manifold stopped it from going through the oil pan), and there were two holes in the block!! we still have no idea why!!

Some people just shouldn't be working on cars, it's that simple. I'm sure someone did something stupid, pistons dont just fly out and rods don't just brake on their own.
