Default How much HP can a stock 99 si clutch hold??

Hey im putting the Greddy turbo kit on with a few other mods at the end of the month, and hope to be pushing around 250 whp or so and was wondering how long the stock clutch can hold this before just falling apart. My friend that works at honda said it should hold because honda's stock clutches are stronger then people really think they are. But i would like imput from more then just him. And if you guys dont think it will hold to long what clutch should i get for this kind of power?

Dat be for damn ner sure! I runded me some damnd ner 10's wit mys stock typRRR trandy ta crank holder thing.

j.k.

Do your self a favor, get a nice ACT or CM clutch. Its not going to set you back to much, I see ACTs all the time now for about $300. A stock clutch isnt going to hold too long with much power. They are not ment to.

Clutch master stage 3 will work well...I know ACT has an equivelant, not sure what it is called though. Also, if you would like to get a clutch that you WILL never have to worry about for anything under 550whp is the ClutchAction 2md. It is a little harsh at first, but you will get used to it real quick(at which time you will love it).

The redneck talk was me being board on a sunday night. sorry.

All haters. I have at least 16 passes on the 1320, and several street races on my stock ITR clutch/flywheel and its grabbing like a champ. Don't hate on stock clutches

Setup:
8 pounds, untuned.

Take it for free, save your money for when it breaks, and then buy a new one. You'll be surprised how long it can last. I know i am.

Mine went out in 4 days after I put the turbo on. Tranny was great before that. Then when I came to stops it would not go into gear. Had to turn the car off then back on and put in 1st gear.
