Default stock b18b + t25?

Ok this is going to be a short project, but I want something that is going to give me a bit more power while I'm building up another b18b block for a bigger turbo.

I will be piecing everything together and doing it custom since I don't really wanna pay the high prices of some of these kits available since it will only be used for under a year or so.

I have a b18b in my 95 integra, the one big downside right now, is that it's auto. I just want to boost it while it's auto to see what it can take and when the tranny blows, I'll swap to manual. I just want to see how well an auto will handle it. I know guys....... probably not too long.

Would you recommend going with a t25 for now?

How much psi should I run on the t25 with stock internals on my b18b with this auto tranny to keep it decently safe for the time being?

What size intercooler would you recommend for this turbo right now?

Lastly......... I was wondering what you would recommend electronics wise? I hear a lot of people talking about safc2's and vafc2's, but I was also wondering about a avc-r? I can always use these things with my next turbo as well once the other block is built so it wouldn't hurt to get them now. But would you recommend any of these A'PEXi products?

Thanks

A T25 is very small for this application, if you must use a junkyard turbo I would atleast go for a 14b. Keep it around 8psi, watch your plugs, and you should be fine.

Generally, when reffering to VAFC's and SAFC's in regards to forced induction, people are talking about the hack, wich utilizes DSM 450 injectors and one of those AFCs. I do not recommend this at all. I would use an FMU and fuel pump over it, if youre on a budget. Or better yet, Hondata.

The AVC-R is just an electronic boost controller, I do not really care for them, however this unit allows for different boost settings in different gears, which is helpful if you have traction problems.

well the thing is this will be my first turbo setup, basically I have around 3000 to work with for a full setup for my b18b, the tranny has to stay auto until around springtime which is when I'll have the cash to swap it out.

the thing is, I want to keep it on the safe side as far as boosting goes, what would you guys recommend for my first time? I was hoping to hit 200 and still be safe. Is this possible?

If you have 3 grand, and are willing to spend all of it, why dont you just get a kit?

You can easily hit 200, and safely. Many people run 300whp on stock B18 blocks.

well why not piece it together myself and save a bit, and put that towards my tranny swap?

It just depends on what your looking for in the end. I tried the homemade kit route, and it was fun, but it wasn't long before I wanted more power. I could have saved alot of money if I would have gone straight to the current setup I have.

oh i understand that, I'm just thinking though, I dono if this car has much potential, I might just forget the turbo, sell my teg, get a 89 r32 skyline gtr, or a 240sx and drop a sr20det in it.

It sounds as though you have more thinking to do.

When youre ready to discuss Honda performance, we can help. But as far as the others, you better look elsewhere.

You can build a nice kit with FMIC for $1500 and it will be better than any kit. My current kit cost $900. A T25 is too small, look into Uberdata.
