Default Still having compressor surge after BOV opens

95 accord f22b1 sohc vtec
t3/t04e
greddy rs bov
5-6 psi

i was having a problem where my BOV wouldnt open much or at all. so i took it apart and took out the big spring and it seemed to be working fine while in the garage. when i drive and shift above 5000rpm the bov works and sounds as it should and then like a second or two later i get compressor surge. any ideas??

and BTW my boost gauge has not worked since installed. I dropped it once or twice prior to install.

doing a vacuum check this weekend. any other ideas/places to look?

Thanks

were is your vac. line spliced into? If it's not in the brake booster then it needs to be. if it still happens after that then play with the adj. on the bov

If you can get a pic of were your pulling your vac. it would help. I know when i first turbo'ed my eg it took 3 diffrent places before my bov would open right. oh btw, what bov do you have?

Greddy RS. On my first vac source it ame off my cruise control. That didn't seem to work at all so I went off an empty source on the front of my OEM manifold. The valve now opens but now the compressor surge is AFTER the bov goes off. B4 my current vac source I was JUST getting compressor surge.

Like I said this weekend I am going to check for leaks. If that doesn't work out I am going to order another bov. And i need another boost gauge too.

If the bov blow off then you hear a sound similar to a whistle sound a second or two afterward.

If that is the case, it seem like the greddy or greddy style bov seem to do that

well the problem has since been corrected. changed my large vac line from the brake booster to back of the IM. since then and some minor adjustments to the BOV and it works perfect.

Off to my tuner in 3 weeks now!!

Thanks for the help everyone
