well ive come to a conclusion, either i have been scammed, or i am in the process of being scammed. so heres the story, and im sorry in advance for its longevity.

anyway, i was in the process of searching for an sc61 with S housing and stag 5 wheel to create my highway beast. so i find STHperformance here on honda-tech. i see the vouch thread and many people are happy with them. so i said hey why the hell not. he gave me a good price of 795 shipped with S housing and stage 5 wheel.

so on February 25th i paypal Scott at STH 795 dollars. he quoted a time of 7 days delivered to my door. it is now april 6th and i am still empty handed. from the time i gave him the money till now, it has been nothing but excuses. first they have to special order the turbo, then the compressor housing is on back order, then the comp wheel is on back order...and the list goes on. i had been talking to him on one screen name that had all of a sudden stopped loging on. so i go to HT and find another one of his Screen names for AIM. so i IM him and "his computer crashed" which is why he hadent been on that screen name. *i call bs*

so we talk for a while on sthperfomance (his other SN for AIM) and he tells me that the turbo will be to his shop this week (a week ago) and then he stops comming online again. i catch him online late on night and ask what is up...he claims to have had his friend in the hopsital due to a motorcycle accident. so he has been REALLY busy (to busy to give me any customer assistance as to the whereabouts of my 800 investment). so at this point i am VERY pissed off and have absolutely nothing to say about STH performance

i still have the paypal transaction in my paypal history files, so i WILL be getting my money back unless he can get this turbo to me within a week. has anyone else ever dealt with STH? if so LET ME HEAR YOUR INPUT. thanks for reading this long post. im done now

i have actually heard that the comp housing is on backorder, dont know if its true or not.. but ive heard that a few of precisions parts are like that

 

i heard this too, but waiting since feb 25th? when he originally said 8 days? i guess i am just worried i sent 800 dollars over a month ago and have NOTHING to show for it makes me kinda weirded out

 

most of the companies have the turbos drop shipped from the turbo manufacturer.... if he called precision and said "ship this to this guy" and they come back and say "its on backorder" there isnt a damn thing he can do about it... hes just telling you what precision tells him...


maybe rod short will chime in with some more up-to-date info

dont get me started with STH performance..........

in all honesty it would have been better to spend the extra 20-50 bucks or whatever it costs to purchase parts from a diffrent dealer rather than waiting so long and being told lies and excuses........

but for anyone else looking to buy stuff from him....i would look elseware...

 

Its not hsi fault precision is really backordered on all t04s and sc61 right now major shortage if you ordered with e housing its pretty damn quick but s is been machining for months now

 

this is making me thing over my whole sitation again. if i should go with the same turbo again or not...ahhh the stress. thanks for the replies

 

go with t04e huosing the 15hp increase rating is not that big of deal. get it faster

 

i deal with camp1320 or spark racing.

 

either way he wont have the E housing in stock, ive waited this long i might as well get what i want.

I'm waiting for my GT35R with T04S cover too (From Precision).

 

Ive purchased a wastegate through him, and also a plx m300, ive had nothing but good transactions so far.

Maybe its just on backorder.

 

Contacted Adam Via Aim and offered him one of two things...

1. Full Refund
2. Switch Order To Something Thats Available More Quicker..


Adam Choose to switch his order to another turbo plus wastegate.
I contacted my Precision supplier and Precision is telling him the S covers are still in the process of being machined. I have never had a backup on Precision turbos like this before.

Anyhow i just wanted to post on this thread and let everyone know that Adam (SSBPGSR) has been taken care of.

but anyways, i bought a sc61 from sth alittle over a month ago and did not have any problems what so ever.

 

I was gonna jump in and vouch for Scott. He is a cool guy.
If he ever jipped anyone , dont worry I know where to find him

Rest assure he is a legit business man.

 

I knew as soon as i read this thread that he just didnt understand how sometimes you have to wait on the manufacturer like it or not. the S housings have been on backorder for a long time and some friends of mine are still waiting on them now, **** happens, more people need to realize this.

Thats cool Scott that you took care of him - but when a turbo is on backorder - dont tell a guy different dates hoping its going to come.. Just say "hey, its on backorder til I'm not sure when.. We can wait it out, get a different turbo or refund your money"..

At least you took care of it..
