Do you have to use a special gasket with a step deck block? I know that the cylinders liners comes out a little above the block sutface, so how does it seal? ex if I am using 84mm pistons, do i need to get a gasket at least 84.5mm?

 

No, you don't have to use a special head gasket, just be sure that it is 84mm or larger.
