Steering gear multiplier
I'm looking to speed up the steering on my Civic. I know quaife makes a rack and pinion set for my rack, but they claim only a 25% reduction. While that would help, I was hoping for closer to a 50% reduction. I'm wondering if anyone here has fabricated a gear mulitplier, and if they could share how they did it.
For those that don't know, this would be a gearset that goes between the column and the rack. I believe it would consist of a larger gear, an intermediate gear (As to not reverse direction input) and a smaller gear.

Nobody else makes any other steering mods. Ive always wondered if an S2000 gear would fit. However 50% reduction is huge. thats like 1.5 turns lock to lock!
Ya, thats why I'm thinking about making my own. I'm thinking a 25% reduction would be borderline what I'd need for autocross.. I'd rather overkill. Also, the nice thing about a multiplier is I could change it pretty quickly.. could have a 33% reduction for road race, 50% for autocross, or even go back to stock for tracks with no sharp turns.
My success rate for being inventive is rather low, so I'm hoping someone else has something I can just copy. Supposedly these are common for drift cars.

Why dont you try to get a S2000 one from a junk yard and see what it takes to swap it over. Then do a write up and you'd be my hero.

I'll look into it, but don't expect much
