A kid with a mustang wants to race me for slips this summer, I just barely lost to him last summer with boost, running 10psi w/ an FMU/MissingLink setup. Now im running 14psi crome tuned. But I wanna squeeze a little for a guarantee, and I don't want to scare him away if he sees jets and nitrous lines all over the bay. and if you look at my watched topics, im looking at BUYING a nitrous kit, not jacking one

You want to hide a bottle of nitrous on your turbo car because your racing a guy for slips? Lol... I better just shut up or Mase will dock me another point.

Carry on...

considering mustangs go really fast really easy.... i would do a little spying before racing for pinks

what if he got a 250 shot? that would easily put him in low 11's..

then your fucked

Btw.. i also have a 92 dx sedan.. i went the LS route though..

If that's the case, just crank it to 16psi or more. If you loose, you loose the car along with any damage done. If you win, you can sell the m00stang and pay for anoter motor. Or - get a dualstage boost controller, try on 14psi, then crank it if you start loosing.

IMO, nos is for spooling t4's, not for an extra kick. But its your car

Ok, do people actually race for "pink slips"??? I mean c'mon, you're living a sureal life if you think its cool to race for slips dude. You would actually give up your car, one that presumably you've put in much time and money into, over the loss of a stupid little race??? This is by far the most retarded thing I've heard of today.

That will solve your problem right there. They are going to see you have a turbo anyways, so why are you trying to hide a small shot of nitrous? Not trying to sound like the fast and the furious, but winning is winning lol. I mean it really doesn't matter who is running what as long as you win.

Oh and I like the putting a towel over the bottle idea.</TD></TR></TABLE>

but it looks better to type no2 than NOS cluster expletive. =]

if ya want a stealth setup mount a bike bottle in the intercooler with the bottle mounted in the end tank ,run the solenoid wire throught the intercooler piping and stub out near the firewall drill a 3/32hole in the intercooler pipping and use 100% silicon to seal the hole an make sure it is under the silicone coupling going to the throttle body go thru the firewall with a dummy boost/vac hose and mount to a arming switch th rest is pretty simple ,the only pain is filling the bottle if your really serious bout play the fool on people with the nitrous i would invest in a nos station (bout 1g you should make your money back fast if ya play it rite)so you can fill the bottle thru the intercooler with out pulling it out ,,mount the size jet you want t direct to the bottle out let (no braided line) and ya will have to change the bottle handle to a nut so you can open and lose it with a gear wrench thru the outlet onto the end tank make sure the end tank out let is at teh same height as the bottle valve ,,the hotter the bottle gets the more psi it builds up so its self regulating

if i were you i would run c16 and crank the boost to the roof. and if anything nitrous is a good weapon to get cars. cause 1 or 2 cars is a better advantage then a 35 shot. so if he bitches about nitrous say give me 2 cars and the hut and negotiate from there. thats just my 2 centavos

when i had nitrous i plumbed the nozzle on the underside of the intake pipe, wrapped all the lines in black wire loom, mounted the bottle in an empty sub enclosure.

I think this is by far the best idea. Although the Sub enclosure will be kinda heavy, i think this will work. You have to have a sub in there though. You can also use the black wire loom for the nitrous lines - so people think its just wires going to the sub box. Make sure you have a speaker though - to cover up the opening. Also, i'm assuming you're getting a small bottle.

back in the day, i ahd some buddies that were all motor fronters, with a 90 dry in the stock air box. ran the line through the fender and up in the intake, cit a small hole in the flat filter and called it a day. but i guess this couldnt apply to you. oh, if you are going to run a small shot like that look into a sneaky pete bottle, its like 2.5 lbs or something

I'm not too worried about the bottle itself if I can get everything hidden in the engine bay, its a 4-door with full interior, and if they dont see anything in the bay, there not going to ask me to pop my trunk

man you got it good out their if ya try to pull that wrap the lines in loom they wont see it your done !! down here we lock up a race and set the rules before we search for anything if you get caught your money is history if you aint worried bout that youm could mount the bottle under the dash or i even put them into the seat cushion but my 1st suggestion is the best if you for sure dont want to get caught

i didnt really try to hide it but it came out hidden regardless. Just seemed easier to put on the underside. Only down side is if u tune with the jets its a hassle to get to on the underside.

I'd rather put the money towards a dual stage MBC, race gas, drag radials, and a higher PSI tune...

that's more than 35hp worth....
