Default Which standalone?

DFI gen 7 or AEM EMS. I would like to go with the GEN 7, mainly because
I live 5 min. away from Turbo people of NYC. But the AEM system is a little
tempting, cause of the fact it plugs right in.
Please help guys Im confused.

I've been debating whether to go with an AEM, Hondata, or VAFC Hack for a while.

What finally made the decision was the fact that I wanted to get something I could grow into. The AEM unit provides just that. It has alot of onboard features that I could use in the future and for the price I was able to get it at, well it was a no-brainer.

Your decision really needs to reflect your needs. I can say that the majority of these guys here will spout out so many different standalone or overgrown piggyback systems at you that you don't know what to pick from. But the bottom line is, what is good for you. Almost all of these engine management systems will work, granted some will work better than others and each of them have their pro's and con's.

Good Luck,

Len

ACCEL!!!!!!!! No doubt about it, Job Spetter is an accel gen 7 god. He coaxed a safe 750 RWHP and 850 RWTQ out of my friends pretty mild (331, AFR 205's,box intake, GT80 turbo) street mustang on 94 octane, and he's been driving it like that on the street for about a year now with no issues I'd go with whatever your nearest tuner is comfortable with/uses most, and with job spetter around the corner, going with accel is almost a no-brainer.
