SRT4 intercooler
You could use it. they aren't awful, but if you can find an Evolution 8-9 one, it would be even easier and more efficient to use. After about 300whp, they get heat soaked a bit

i like the SRT4 because they fit in the EF chassis as if they are made for them. i wouldn't bother with any other OEM intercooler, and get a Garrett one, as they all require a lot more fitting.

You can get them on ebay for like 50-75.. Garrett core, but the endtank design makes it hard to fit our chassis... if the front frame rails are narrow enough (I don't know ef's that well) it will work but I bet it puts the inlet/outlet outside the engine bay... if you could offset the intercooler you would have a perfect backdoor setup
But like Mac said, the evo 8-9 intercoolers fit perfectly, flow a lot and have damn near perfect end tanks to set it up as a one sided backdoor.

You're in EF chassis. Everything damn near requires fitment from the user. It never bolts in. haha

Holy crap that fits perfectly.. I might have to see if it will fit my ek... it'd be almost perfect for my power goals on my stock motor... and I can save my pwr until I get the built motor in...
I'm also interested in the evo intercooler fitment... I wonder if the inlet/outlet is in the right spot to run a backdoor setup.
Do you have any pics of how they relocated the rad to clear the outlet?
Oh another good intercooler to look at is the stock 944 turbo intercooler. Thick Garrett core and similar end tank inlet/outlet design as the srt4. Might be better for higher power levels vs the SRT

the 944 intercooler is a thick as it is tall, i have doubts it will fit without considerable modifications. it does look good nevertheless.

i am asking him to give some detailed photos and info on that fitment.
i am also asking him on that 3 stage VTEC head, doing a lean burn turbo system that can do 50+MPG is a really killer idea.

Nope.. it was just in how it opened the valves... until you hit the third stage all four valves didn't open...
It only ran on like 3 valves out of vtec

How do you think he squeezed it passed the radiator on the hot side??
From his pics he doesnt appear to be using a Honda radiator, the end tanks scare me a little, how huge they are and how the one is slightly ovalled

Thats the best deal I could find on fleabay for a new sRT4 front mount
The fitment on that guys car looked great though, really curious how it fit past the hot side piping though

And that'd not an OEM one... its a thicker eBay intercooler. All the ones that I found OEM on eBay were beat to ****.

It's 5x5x18... how would it not fit? 944 owners use them up to 400hp, the stock SRT intercooler isn't much good past 3 iirc

core is 18" total length seems to be 22" according to the internet.
Yes, the intercooler seems rather used. i hope it actually holds pressure
