Mine looked just like yours...Innovative baar and all.

I just got a newer version of the mani that should sit the turbo a little higher.
I'll get some pics up

So was this manifold re-designed due to the turbo being too low? Might have to check with Spoolin on this one.

how has that been working, any leaks or issues with backup of the oil drain?

It can't back up. The oil is droping into the hole being bushed by oil coming out of the turbo. It could maybe slow it up a little, but when you take off it would flow fine.

^^ That CHRA looks to be way more than 30 degrees off center.

If it were me, I would change that. The CHRA should be as straight up and down as possible and no more than 30 degrees off verticle.

if oil flow exceeds drain capacity it will. if the angle of the drain is excessive it will create resistance causing the oil to slow. The point of the question was to see how his turbo oil seals are. I had a drain and mine looked way better then this and I had oil leaking from the turbo. Please don't post to put on a restrictor as this was not recommended by the turbo supplier. I was just wondering as there looks to be a slight up angle before the oil pan fitting.

omg, i didnt see that gold fitting at first, that drain setup is no bueno, like stated earlier, the CHRA should be no more than 30* off center, and even that is too much, man im surpried you havent eaten that turbo yet.

Well I am kinda just going by the way of "oil gets hot, oil gets thiner" I think he'll be fine.

Yes is should go up and down, but from the looks of it that is not going to happen.

The seals have begun to leak on mine. If I clock the turbo so the drain is more vertical it will make the line totally horizontal. That brass fitting is the only one I could find that has the sharpest angle while being large enough to properly drain oil. However, this set-up is not working properly so I need to step up to -10an but I don't think that will work either. I'm beginning to think that a scavenge pump will be the best and only option.
