Default spike when shifting... is that normal?

Hey!

I am 'trying' to run my greddy turbo with 38mm tial WG at .4 bar. When I shift (hard), the boost goes up sometimes to .7 bar for an instant (half a second)

Should I care?

I can't imagine any way to get around that (with a charge built up in the pipes/intercooler) except maybe a softer setting on the BOV.

BOV is a Greddy Type S, close to the throttle body.

Boost controller is Profec B Spec 2. That's what I'm using to measure the boost.

I sold my brand new Greddy Profec B Spec II to some guy driving a RX-7 turbo, boost was set at 14psi, spiked to 22psi and you know the rest.

I've heard mix stories about those things.

Well, it stays steady if I do a 3rd or 4th gear run... it's only right after the shift (from 2-3 or 3-4) that the boost is way high, and then it settles down right away.

No one else has this?
