Default SpeedFactory Map Sensor

Hi HT,

I bought a speedfactory map sensor 3 years ago. I can't remember what I bought. Don't know If it is a 3 or 4 bar map sensor. There is nothing on it that would tell what it is. Would the tuner need to know what it is? I won't ever be over 25 psi, can the tuner set the map sensor to 3 bar in Hondata and will it still read? Not sure, please help. Thanks!

Looks like they offered a 3, 4, and 7 bar map in the past.

Let your tuner know that you are unsure what bar your map is. If you have a boost gauge you should be able to compare what the gauge says versus what your map sensor is reading and set it up that way. Map sensors are very important with how a vehicle operates and you will definitely need to figure it out in order for your car to run properly.

You can also just use compressed air to test the MAP sensor and see what it is. Apply 35 PSI to the sensor, see what it reads.
