Default Special holes in your head for turbo?

I am getting my motor shipped back and Endyne told me that they put some kind of holes in my head so it will flow better with my turbo setup. Has anyone heard of this before? I am clueless.

I think I seen this on there website. they are little drill starts put at the top of the intake port to help atomize the fuel. don't no if it really works though.

hey, i'm in philly too. I'm looking for a egt probe kit. I purchase an autometer ultra lite egt gauge and I thought the probe kit was included. Do you guys carry the autometer probe kit and how much? Also, do you guys install? Oh, I'm looking for a new front body kit for my 01 integra. I had my eyes on the california type r body kit (w/ cl headlites) for awhile now, would you be able to get it? Thanks.

Prolly have to drill at least a little hole hole in your real head. For all the new stuff you learn to be shoved in when bost sets in

I think Endyn drills holes in peoples heads and removes the part of your brain that filters out complete bullshit so you will listen to them.

Actually, they create turbulance in the airstream to improve atomization. If you think it's bullshit then don't run the heads, ok? I think if you knew about airflow and liquid dynamics you'd say differently.
Think of it this way, why are those 'DIMPLES' on the golf ball? Same concept. Use your brain before you go out and start calling B.S. on something just because you don't understand it.

I was just asking. I plan on running the head since I have over $1700 into it already. Just wanted to see what I was getting.

Dimples on a golf ball create reduced drag in a very narrow mach range; if your intake ports happen to be flowing at that range, it will reduce skin friction and REDUCE turbulence; if you are out of that range, it will increase turbulence and frictional losses.

As a non-fluid dynamics expert let me say these dimples or holes as you call them are not created with a drill but a punch and hammer. Whether they do work or just an old wives tail, is locked in the mind of The Old One

Agreed, Larry has his ways with things.. Some things could be beneficial, some not.. who knows.. But as far as this post goes, I have done the "dimples" on a Z6 head I ported out and went through.. As far as actual gains? I don’t think so.. I just felt like doing it I guess, lol. We put 4 simple marks in a diamond formation at the top port of the intake, with a small punch.

Funny, we have access to a great flow bench and I was thinking the next head we do, I was going to put some dimple tape on it to see if it had any effect. Check this site on the tape:

Dude, I am thinking wrapping my entire car in that ****,

"The use of Dimpletape has been giving from a 2 to 4 mile per increase in the use of automobiles!"

Wow, I could impress everyone with some sick ET's with that stuff..

why does everyone on thisi board come off as a fluid dynamics expert? Are THAT many people engineers?
You mean some of you guys AREN'T engineers?

Me = Mechanical Engineer, by no means a fluid dynamics expert, but I work in centrifugal compressor design and testing, and recently did some research on the "dimple" business for a worthless pet project of my old boss.

I put dimples in my forehead and picked up 2 mph in the standing start 1/4 mile run.
It has worked out quite well. Just those damn headaches keep coming back everynow and again.

Hahahaha that ^ was the best post so far 6. Only 2 mph? I picked up at least five with mine. I took some heavy prescription painkillers for the pain and sat in some old hags wheelchair and had her push me or I'd break her knees with a bat.

The dimples are just to improve the fuel mixture nothing else so don't go and put a whole lot of worrying if they'll ruin your heads flow. It's the quality of each burn that's important not the quantity of the burns. If each burn is a efficient as possible; then your making as much torque that is possible with that set-up. Torque is what accelerates you not horsepower.
If it was horsepower those Vortech units would be on everyones car and we'd all be running 9's and faster.
