Spark Plugs...
What do you guys gap your plugs to on your turbo apps. B18c1 for instance. Also do any of you guys use the octane booster they sell at the local auto parts store? I heard that **** is bunk.

Re: Spark Plugs... (dragonsmp)
I'm using HKS Iridium sparkplugs (no 9) and they've been gapped to .38 if i remember correctly (i'm not the one gapping, its my mechanics that do it). I don't need octane booster, because pump gas in Thailand is all 91, 95, or 97 octane - take your pic really we also have 110 octane gas.. but its a lil' bit expensive per litre (like 3 times the price of 97 octane gas)

What's the benefit of gapping them lower, like .32?
I currently have them gapped .38, will the MSD compensate for it being gapped higher?

Re: Spark Plugs... (dragonsmp)
I believe one reason may be that with boost, the spark may not be able to make it across the stock plug gap. So the gap must be reduced to ensure the spark makes it across the gap. An aftermarket ignition should help with this problem though.
Does anyone know what gap can be run with an aftermarket ignition?

Re: Spark Plugs... (dragonsmp)
I know Nology wires are widely thought to be overated, especially because of the price, HOWEVER, I have had nothing but good results with them. Each time I replace my plugs, they always have worn perfectly. If you have the energy to send the spark over a wider gap, you have a larger spark area, better combustion, and more power. There is a point of diminshing return though and you have to find the right gap to get the best combustion.
As far as octane boost, I use Outlaw octane booster, the box of 4 silver cartridges and it works fine, but I am only boosting 8 psi.
