Spark Plug Gap???
also, thanks for searching rather than starting a new thread. i swear i see a new spark plug thread like three times a week.
Np. Its always better to search or just browse. I came across this one browsing the forced induction FAQ. I have mesed with a lot of turbo eclipse's but haven't turboed my own honda yet. I have instaled kits for people but used the parts they wanted and supplied. I figured it to be best to do some home work before I just slap on the turbo and go. Will be using a dsm t25 and 450cc with all supporting mods and tune.
Does anyone know the new stock number of these plugs(the NGK bkr7es)? I cant seem to find it(again).
EDIT: found it. The number is 4644. I ended up going with a 4554 which is actually a R5471A-8. It's NGK's Non resistor V-power racing plug. With the new build I am going to be pushing upto 20 to 25 psi. Goin to start my gap at .028 and see where I am at.

I use Iridium NGK BKR7EIX gapped at .044...in my 1985 HONDA CRX..you get great power in the high end and it idles smooth..also guys consider also your ignition system..this affects everything..i use a MSD blaster SS coil and they are no misfires with this gap.
I'm only 463whp, and anything higher I get ignition break while in boost. at what point do you need MSD? I thought stock ignition is fine til 500+. Besides, plugs cost me very little since I work at a shop, then again the added cost of replacing plugs over two years will pay for it. How often do you change yours? This car isn't daily driven..

Get better ignition, widen the gap, and have the plugs last longer.
