South Florida performance
I am looking at buying another turbo kit soon. I have already purchased a drag III kit and since my goal is to open up a performance shop i have decided to put together a variety of cars to show what the customer is looking at to buy. The next car that I am going to fix up I am thinking of buying a SFP turbo kit for and I was wondering how much they were and what you guys thought of them? thanks

I think their kit is close to $4k. go to http://www.sfp.net and check it out. I thnk their manifolds have a lifetime guarantee.. check that out on the site.

Re: South Florida performance (fasthatch2000)
Could someone tell me what sixe the turbo is, what size the down pipe is, size of the front mount, and what size the injectors are and what kind of warrenties everything has. I was also wondering what I could turn the boost up to with there fuel solution. I have a block that can handle anything.

Re: South Florida performance (10sec.civic)
This gets to be funny but the only difference with there kit compared to everyone elses out there is the manifold and the fact they add an afc mapped for the setup they sell.... IMO there manifolds are the shizznit, definitely good quality. Laters,
BTW to answer the dude who does the dyno tuning(Abid) more than likely set the system to function at 7 psi for the fuel for there basic kits but give them a call just to be sure.

Beleive the warranty on the manifold is 3 years, but that is a lot considering many places don't have a gurantee on ****. SFP, talk to Juan, he knows his **** and he's a nice guy. SFP

Re: South Florida performance (WykidEG6)
10 sec civic.. don't take it wrong..I just meant there kit is basically similar to most oher manufactures, (drag , rev hard) etc.with the exceptiong of the injetors and afc, which is why the starting cost is 4k rather than 3... And the starting priced kits includes the deltagate not hks.... But again there manifolds are top notch... Someone on this board ordered a SFP manifold and posted some nice pics.. I'll try a search and see if I can link the thread. Peace

Will that manifold fit in a '93 Civic CX/HB with a GSR swap with A/C? I know that I'll have to mount the Turbo the othern way. . .

actually, they are including Hondatas with their turbo kits now. I really like their kits, top notch quality, also includes the HKS race bypass valve.

VTC_CiViC,
You mean you're gonna do a rebuild on your D16? If so, they'll probably send your motor to my machinist.. Laz from Mesa Balancing. He's a great guy and knows his ****. The only complaint I have is that he's taking FOREVER with my motor! That bastid.. Great shop though.

Re: South Florida performance (Rob92SC)
Yea Rob, I wanna have the peice of mind of running a built motor rather than wondering "hmm, how much more can I push on my D16". I figure, few if any people here have the reputation of SFP, so I'm comfortable with letting those guys go to work on it. I just gotta decide wether or not I wanna sleeve it!!

Re: South Florida performance (boost killz)
Hey Nick! Long time dude. Yea the Civic is doing ok, got it up to some 10psi for track use the other Friday. Turned out a best of 14.41 but with a 2.3 60' time and 99 mph traps , so I should be seeing 14.0-14.1 when I get my 60's down. Let me know next time you're headed out there so we can meet up

Re: South Florida performance (VTC_CiViC)
They quoted me $6400 for their stage 3 kit. It included JE pistons, Crower rods, and a standalone. They said I should be in the relly low 12's to high 11's with it.

Re: South Florida performance (BLK94RS)
Do you know any of the specifics on the stage 3 kit because that is what I am looking for. I have a drag III kit that I bought from ben and I am thinking that I may just have my brother use this kit and I want a something a little different than drag quality.thanks for the help

Re: South Florida performance (10sec.civic)
I thouhgt I still had the e-mail they sent me, but I guess I deleted it. As far as I can remeber it came with pretty much everything. I don't remeber what turbo or IC though, they did say they were both bigger than any other kit on the market. It came with Hondata, injectors, pistons, rods, and a whole bunch of other stuff. The kit just cost to much for me to buy. Give em a car or e-mail, Im sure you can get all the info on the kit that you need.

Re: South Florida performance (10sec.civic)
The SFP stage I kit is a t3/T04 turbo with a GREAT manifold, warrantied for 3 years against cracking... the manifold is actually made by Miami Muffler and it IS the shiznit.
The stage I kit is about $4500-$5000 installed last time I was there.... it includes all parts, install, dyno tuning with custom fuel maps. It runs hard, but you have to remember, this is a turbo kit and NOT "custom"... you are not supposed to pay the big money and start f*cking with boost settings (it's set it and forget it)...
Stage I boosts at 8 psi with a pressure drop on the I/C. SFP will claim up to 300Whp with this kit, but they are full of ****. This kit will kill a Drag or Rev hard at the same boost, etc.... it is a nice kit if you want someone else to install yo sh*t...
I don't know everything about their in house tuner, heard both good and BAD....
I would bring my own tuner and just pay for the dyno time. I think their tuner is $15/ dyno run + $125/hr to use their tuner.
SFP is still cheeper than buying a production turbo kit and having it installed by someone else...
If you don't know you're gonna get ripped....Good luck
