SON OF A......IM PISSED!!!!!
Well got evryhting alredy to go in, and the damn turbo hits my trnsmition!!!! I have no clue what to do. What i really need is a spacer that would go inbetween the block and the exhust manifold. Do they sell these???? like for makeing custom headders or somehting. Please let me know, im in despret need!!!

what turbo kit is this? you probably just have to loosen nuts on compressor housing and rotate it

not sure of the problem exactly, I could get you a header flange that will extend everything away from motor about 5/8".

I have alredy turned the compressor housing and got some space.
Its a Garrett T3 turbo....
I have made up my mind. What Im going to do is throw my old exhust back on and wait to get a new turbo manifold. What should i use for the T3 turbo? IM looking at some Greddy Manifolds ritgh now but im not sure.
So for now the turbo is on hold....It was all going to well
So in three weeks maybe it will be on..... I hope......Grrrrrr

as far as i know, a greddy manifold wont fit a T3 turbo..........

That is right, the same manifold for a T3/T4 will work with a straight T3 because the turbine section is the only thing that connects to the manifold. The Greddy manifold will not fit a T3 on it.

Hmmm your problem lies in the fact that you will have to notch the block a little bit. I'm guessing you mean the turbine is hitting the block close to the tranny.. Well you have to take a dremel tool and grind away some of material. Don't worry it's perfectly safe. Or you can try to turn the turbo to face the other way.

Do you have pics? Are you talking about the notch that comes out, near the CLUTCH bleed line? If so, thats the block...u can get a dremel and trim that SOB off.

WEll the cars back togeather, sniff sniff, without the turbo (for now).
NYb16, Is your car that electron blue color? Thats the only trubo civ i know of around here. Where about do you live? I have a 94 civ, and its dark purple, it used to be slamed to the ground but not anymore. Maybe we have passed eachother b4.???

Agreed done it b4 it works just fine!! there is some metal on the block that can be grinded off.. you will jnot hurt anything!!! friend did it with a t4 on a gsr!!

I did turn the compressor housing and i did take some metal off of both the turbo and the transmition. Still no go. I would have to take so much off it would cut into the compressor housing to much and would make a whole. Like when it hits the trans. it needs to go back a good 2 inches to fit on proprly. I wish just a littel grinding woudl fix it but in the case its not going to. . I have found a HKS manifold that im buyng. So its all going to go in nicely in about 3 weeks.
