I dont know which direction you turn it, but i can tell you this: Making the actuator arm longer will increase the amount of boost; whereas, making the arm shorter will decrease.

Basically it is a matter of how much does the actuator have to move before the wastegate flapper opens.

what kind of boost controll can hold boost steady at 10psi.....i try three mbc and they all drop down to 8psi which is the wastegate spring............that is under 300...

I'm not sure what would work well on that turbo. A lot of times, pressure drops off because the turbo literally cannot keep up to the needs of the engine.

I have a Hallman MBC and it holds steady at 10~10.5psi (i dont remember exactly)

i cant see why not...the reason i didnt suggest one is because the majority of them are rather expensive; however, they do have a lot more options for you

I have electronic boost control and it will hold pressure at 10. The internal spring on the wastegate will bleed off anything above 10 regardless of what kind of boost control it runs. The only way to run more is to install a stiffer spring.

what kind of MBC's have you been running?

Is your WG a 2 port type?

do you hear/feel VAC coming from your WG top port (if) when you have nothing connected?

Where is your WG plumbed to? your IM or your compressor housing?

The dropoff with your MBC's is because it doesn't keep a constant bleed-off because it might be the cheap ball-spring type.

what are you tuned with?

Did you know you can get cost effective EBC's for not much at all? A PWM controller is pretty simple, and there are alot that can allow you to change the PWM constant; and even some yet that work in conjunction with a MAP.

boost solenoids can be had from many vehicles for pennies on the dollar... lets say one from a VW... Then you just need a PWM controller; which can be done with CROME, or any standalone or DIY.

as for adjusting the WG... it isn't what you would think it could be because at a point, your WG will not be able to bypass enough and bigger problems arise.

with that sait, it is smart to adjust the arm so that the arm reaches just about 1/2 way past the flapper part where it attaches, then stretch it into place and it should be the way it is supposed to. Tightening it will give you more boost... but not in a good way, and sometimes not at all.

I do like the BLITZ and Greddy Profec B spec IIs are very nice. Please ensure that you understand how they work (what the settings mean) after you install it.

The Greddy 18G has a smaller wastegate hole, that honestly needs to be opened a bit to keep from spiking boost, and going down to the lower setting. But that turbo can, and has been done. 300whp is pushing it on that turbo, considering it is 640cfm.
