OK here is my situation. At the moment this is my setup:
- Built B18C1
- Tuned GSR-T map (Crome/P28)
- 880cc injectors-
- 3 bar MAP sensor
I'm trying to convert the car back to stock fuel setup and ECU as I'm putting a stock B20 in there soon and I'd rather get the wiring out of the way first. The car still has the built GSR in it, but the turbo setup is off. I had a friend burn a stock GSR Uberdata map onto a chip for me. On a side note but also significant as you'll see... I also chipped a P06 ECU myself (first time ever socketing one). I also had my friend burn an LS ROM on another chip to put in that P06. So I have 3 chips (GSR-T, stock GSR, stock LS), 2 ECU's (P28 and P06). I attempt to put the stock GSR chip into my P28 ECU and I get a solid CEL on key. I figured it would probably throw a CEL because I forgot to tell my friend to disable the knock sensor and IABs as the P28 doesn't have the circuitry and I am running a JG intake manifold. But I didn't expect a solid CEL (even when I jumped the ECU).
Now this is the odd thing, when I put the GSR-T map back in, on the FIRST key on I get a solid CEL again. Also on that first key on I noticed a buzz sound come from what I *think* was the ECU. I tried swapping chips a few more times and heard the sound every now and then when returning to the GSR-T map. If I key off and on once more, it goes away, car starts and drives fine.
I then went ahead and removed the P28, and tried to use the P06 w/ P75 map... same solid CEL results. Two different ECU’s and two different chips/maps.
With all this said, the only thing I can think of would be the fact that I have a 3bar MAP sensor still installed. However, I'd assume that I'd get a MAP sensor code rather than a solid CEL. Does anyone have an insight on this? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Try Gravy's P75 with the LS chip and rule out the ECU. You already know what's wrong with the P28
