Soldering Problems with Turbo Timer on 97 Civic
Ok I know where all the wires go etc...my problem is the damn solder will Not bond worth a **** to the terminals.
I've tried low temp solder, silver solder alone, silver solder with the flux.
I thought it might be my soldering iron (could still be), just not getting hot enough...but I then tried using a small butane torch..**** still wond bond.
Anyone have the same issues with this, or have a fix?..better solder?

get as much of the solder off the terminal if there is any on there. take sandpaper or something with a sharp end(needle etc) and scratch up the terminal pretty roughly. clean it really well, and make sure the wires are clean too. use the solder with flux, and if you want to, you can buy the liquid flux and rub it on the terminal. get the gun really hot and do it quickly for the best electrical and strong solder
