Default SOHC what to do?

98 civic SOHC (vtec)

I heard a supercharger gives a range of 40-60hp gain is this true? and would adding a zex kit as well with a 45-50 hp shot be overkill? What shoul I change on my engine to take this hit? Any suggestions on parts? I really don't want to swap the engine it only has 16,000 miles on it. Also planning on swapping the stock clutch but I guess what Im looking for is the best ---- but safe way to keep my engine.. with out it blowing on me...

any suggestions would be appreciated............

ok jrsc it!

the sohc engine can and has taken about 20 pounds on several passes. Now with the help of nathan.......the silver sohc turbo car w/ toyota pistons you can run 18 psi daily.

here's the deal
get a jrsc and run a 14-16 psi pulley
e-mail me to get the name if the people that make it locally (ny/queens)
they did it b4 on an R and a SOHC.

I am a big fan of the sohc motor. I like the gearing.
the jrsc is great even at 6 psi it will pull on gsr's with I/H/E. My friend's jrsc'd delsol pulled on many. FACT!!!

at 6 psi it seems like it puts down 155whp or more (knowing an integra puts down 145whp about, and my friend had more than a gsr)
....so at 14-16 psi?? maybe 200 or more to the ground

sounds good to me!

1996+ models are all OBDII compliant and the law only permits same year or newer engine hybrids. I know of too many people that have had their cars confiscated. Engine swap is the best way to go and I agree but Im looking for Ideas for the SOHC. like what pistons to use? etc.

14-16psi seems like a lot of pressure. What changes should my engine undergo..
