Default Sohc Vtec Turbo Problem!

My brother has my old setup D16Z6 turbo 16g doing 15psi daily & S200 tuned already with msd ss external coil.

It seems to misfire only at idle and after vtec point. I've tried to gap the plugs down to .25 and it misfires less after vtec point but misfires during idle like once every 40-60 seconds. If I increase the gap to .35 the idle is "perfect" with no misfires at all, but after vtec point it misfires like crazy. I know the bigger gap is getting blowen away but why is the tighter gap still having misfires at idle and after vtec point. If you drive the car without passing vtec no misfires at all only at idle if the gap is .25

Has anyone had this problem?

I had a similar problem it was the tune at fault even got the full MSD kit to attempt to fix the problem made no difference it was the tune...

Tighter gap smaller spark harder to ignite the mixture at idle.

take away 1-2 degrees after VTEC
see if that helps
IMO is more tunning related (timing)

Turbocharger, cold air intake, and a Mugen chip. You'll be all set.

i had the same problem. it was the gap and perhaps the tune. im gapped at .28 right now. before i was at .32 it was misfiring later in the rpms. if the gap still doesnt solve ur problems, then im willing to bet it was in the tune bro.
